Motueka - shortcuts

Instead of riding all the way to Motueka there are four shortcuts you can take to get from the Moutere Highway to the Costal Highway.

Maisey Rd

Just as you begin to climb the Moutere Hill turn right onto Maisey Rd. After a short sharp climb then gentler descent you will reach the Costal Highway.

Dominion Rd

65km

300 m

ca. 2,5 h

At the bottom of the other side of the Moutere Hill turn right onto Old Coach Rd and right again few km later Dominion Rd. This brings you to the Costal Highway near Mapua.

5km after Upper Moutere turn right into Gardener Valley Rd, to shortcut to the Costal Highway near Mapua.

Harley Rd

10km after Upper Moutere turn right into Harley Rd, to shortcut to the Costal Highway near Tasman.
