Motueka

Start from Nelson, ride in direction Richmond over the Bishopdale Hill. When you reach Richmond go straight ahead at the first roundabout, the road will turn to the right and go straight ahead at the next roundabout. Turn left onto Gladstone Rd and ride until the roundabout in Hope. Turn right here, go over the Hope Overbridge an continue along the Appleby Highway.

After 5km you cross a bridge, turn left at the 2nd corner after that bridge, and right at the next corner. Ride past the go-cart track and after 4km you will begin to climb the Moutere Hill.

Continue through Upper Moutere township and follow this road for 20km until you see the Motueka airfield. Turn right here onto King Edward St and turn right again 1km later into High St. High St changes into the Costal Highway which you can follow for 30km back to the Hope Overbridge. Turn left at the roundabout there and ride thru Richmond and back to Nelson.
