Golden Downs

Ride thru Richmond and continue straight ahead at the roundabout at Hope. Go straight ahead thru the roundabout at Hope, continue past Brightwater and Wakefield. Climb up and over the Spooners Hill which begins soon after Belgrove. After a few km of flat riding on the other side turn left onto Valley Rd. After a few curves right at the beginning this becomes a straight road which arrives at an intersection after 7km. Turn left here and you will gradually begin to climb the Rae Saddle. Continue down the other side which is much steeper, and along the valley which will bring you to a T-intersection. Turn right here, and you will be back in Belgrove after 50m. Continue back thru Wakefield, Brightwater, Richmond and back to Nelson.
